Eline van de Kam (upasik ciravatthani, her Buddhist name), was born in the south of Holland and currently lives as a cityogi in Amsterdam. At the age of 13, she started meditating, accompanied by her parents. She studied psychology, and became a teacher. For the greater part of the nineties and beyond, she lived and worked abroad. Back in Amsterdam, she immersed in vipassana meditation, yin-, restorative- and vinyasa yoga.
She now guides meditations and teaches yoga classes around Amsterdam. You can find her in de Nieuwe Yogaschool, Hotflow Yoga Jordaan, de Bewustzijnschool, and at Sukha Yoga. When she isn’t on her yogamat, Eline supports addicts in recovery (like herself), practicing to apply the wise teachings of the Buddha in her daily life.
She recently became a practicing Buddhist and continues to explore the Dharma, travelling extensively and enjoying longer silent retreats. She just returned from an extensive Metta (lovingkindness) silent retreat in a monastery in Myanmar.
Eline lovingly guides you towards silence and inner peace, observing mind, heart and body, during Yogafest, she will share the Iamlovemeditation with you.
