Marit Mastad


Marit came to yoga by accident, quite literally, but stuck to the practice very purposefully. It was an injury that led her to the mat to recover muscles and bones,  but she soon discovered that the practice gave so much more on so many levels, and she was so fascinated by the things she discovered that she has stayed on the mat ever since. Throughout the years she has enjoyed getting to know many styles, like Jivamukti, ashtanga, anusara and rocket yoga.


In 2012 she completed her first vinyasa teacher training at the Octopus garden in Toronto. Since then she has followed a number of teacher trainings including Power yoga, Yoga for mental health, Street yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative yoga, Kids yoga and adaptive yoga for people with disabilities. In addition, she is also a certified personal trainer, suspension trainer and she studying the last year of her physiotherapy degree.


Marit teaches mostly vinyasa flow and HIIT Yoga, and her teaching style is characterized by vigorous, challenging sequences with a keen eye to anatomy and a good portion of smiles and giggles. Her purpose as a teacher is to show you that the joy of the practice is in being present whether you are in childs pose or balancing on your hands, whether you are on the mat or off…
