It took Alessandra Large one vinyasa class five years ago whilst studying for her Masters to get her interested in yoga. The combination of a great, caring teacher and the emphasis of connecting the movement to the breath left her feeling calmer and more at ease than she had ever felt.
Now, as a teacher herself, she focusses her classes on moving mindfully, whilst still having some fun and not taking life and yoga too seriously. She appreciates the beauty (and also the challenge) of remaining equanimous as well as the non-competitive nature of yoga. She hopes to help portray this message in her classes so that everyone can leave the class feeling calm and ok “where” they are today.
